Cindy Sanford, Lead Trainer - I've had dogs for 30 years and had great relationships with them. Some took a lot of work, but worth it. I think all owners should have companionable dogs, but don't always know how to get there, or how to repair broken relationships. My goal is to keep dogs in loving homes and help homelss dogs find forever homes.

Heidi Owens, Trainer-in-training - Newly graduated from Highland Canine Training's Service Dog school, Heidi is a valuable asset to the company.

She has been a class assistant for two years and is now 'learning the ropes' of the dog training profession.

The skills she has learned through Highland covered Autism service dog training, mobility tasks, public access training and scent work for commercial and medical detection, among other things.

Our Business

Our primary focus is toward owner-trained service dogs, assisting people needing some extra help training their own service dogs.

Secondary, but by no means less important,  is pet dogs that have lost their way in the home relationship.

Who We Are

CINDY is a 2005 graduate or Triple Crown Academy (now Starmark Academy). She completed the intensive on-site course, and earned the title of Canine Behavior and Training Specialist.

Cindy has been a volunteer foster home for Junior Humane Society for 8 years, fostering and rehabing many dogs that had a wide variety of  behavioral issues.

She has been an AKC Canine Good Citizen evaluator for 4 years.

Continuing Education:

Currently enrolled in service dog trainer certification course.

Completed the Breeding and Whelping Dogs and Puppy Imprinting and Bonding courses

Attended Train-the-trainer seminars at Service Dog, Inc (was Texas Hearing and Service Dogs) and Diabetic Alert Dog intensive with Linda Cree of BFF Dog Training.

Gained the Certified Trick Dog Instructor qualification through Kyra Sundance's Do More With Your Dog program.

HEIDI is a 2015 graduate of Highland Canine Training, Certified Service Dog program - CONGRATULATIONS HEIDI!

She has been a group class helper for 2 years

Hiedi has been a volunteer foster dog home for Junior Humane Society for 2 years
